Concerning the End of an Era

Concerning the end of an era.

I’ve decided to quit hating the words I never use
To coat them, embrace them
And quell them with pain.

I will speak when I hurt
And love.

I have decided to let anger slip
Down the drain
Crackle over the lines
And thirst.

I’m remembering how to hang up
Haven’t quite gotten the knack of peace
But the silence still calms

And I am alright and quite alive.
