JLT Internships

Each summer Juneteenth Legacy Theatre produces a festival of new and original works about the African-American experience and its legacy, hosted by Actors Theatre of Louisville. Work with this year’s festival guest artists Ron Himes, Founder/Producing Director of St. Louis Black Rep, Linda Kennedy, Black rep Artistic Associate, and New York director, Sue Lawless, JLT staff and Louisville artists. Internships are May 12 to June 30, 2008.

JLT provides interns with housing in one-bedroom, air-conditioned apartments. Travel to Louisville is at the intern’s expense. Internships are unpaid. (There is opportunity to earn money either telemarketing for Actors Theatre or selling program ads for JLT.)  College credit  possible.

Internships are competitive.  Two students are selected. Downloadable application below; include the following documents:

  • 2 letters of recommendation from faculty or theatre professionals
