About Kristi
Kristi Papailler is a Louisville native, who in addition to directing also acts, produces, and administers the arts. Ms. Papailler is a co-founder of JLT. For which she has directed Kindler Genter Nation. Kristi acted in and directed several staged readings during the first three years of the Jamboree and Bold Journey performances including: Mother of Civil Rights, The Carelessness of Love, Sering Two Masters, If You Love Me, A Collective Piss and the Devil’s Beating His Wife. She also portrayed “Rafael” in Passing Ceremonies for JLT’s 7th Annual Juneteenth Jamboree.
Other directing credits for Kentuckiana companies and organizations include Pleiadies Theatre for Women, Theatre Alliance of Louisville and AFTA. She has directed over 20 productions, her favorite being The Discovery for Pleiadies.Papailler’s favorite credits acting credits include “Roach,” Pleiades’ Slaughter City; and “Wizard,” UofL’s The Wiz. Most recently, she was in the adult chorus of MTL’s Jesus Christ Superstar.
Kristi is currently compiling a collection of poetry into a one-person show and hopes to entertain Louisville audiences with this work soon. Papailler is the Programming Administrator at Stage One and is the proud parent of diva, Maya.
