Louisville is a city that clearly cares deeply about the arts, and I feel honored to be invited to serve on the executive board of the Arts and Cultural Attractions Council of Greater Louisville, Inc.  I firmly believe that audiences for high-profile arts institutions experience their initial participation, and are nurtured toward on-going participation by the lesser-known arts groups that specialize in “niche” interests and are more identifiable by neighborhoods than citywide. The artistic and financial health of small arts groups is a bellwether for high-profile institutions’ future, and ultimately for Metro Louisville, too  I look forward to the challenge!
