Juneteenth Legacy Theatre's Founder/Producing Director Lorna Littleway reprises her acclaimed performance as Zora Neale Hurston in The Last Dust Track by Laurence Holder. The chamber theatre production is directed by founding associate producer, Kristi Papailler.
Zora enthralls her audience with tales of creation, the wily ways of rabbits and wolves, her rivalry with Langston Hughes, and a cultural odyssey of adventures. The Courier Journal's Marty Rosen described Littleway's performance as "…infuse(d)…with both frailty and strength…a multitude of voices and…unnerving passion and anger."
Frankfort, Somersett, Maysville, and Berea in Kentucky and Lafayette, Indiana are some of the confirmed and possible stops starting January 26th and running throughout the month of Februrary.
The Bold Journeys Tour package also includes a Master Class/Lecture by Ms. Littleway that includes excerpts from Tall Tales and Short Sayings, her adaptation of Hurston folklore about "preachers, Gawd an da debil", and samples of Ms. Hurston's correspondence with her peers.
