The Zora Neale Hurston bio-drama, The Last Dust Track, initiated Black History Month and "Big Read" activities at the Louisville Free Public Library's Main Branch on Thursday, Feb. 1st and at Kentucky State University's Bradford Hall, in Frankfort, Saturday, Feb. 17th.

JLT's Founder/Producing Director Lorna Littleway reprised her acclaimed performance as the Harlem Renaissance luminary (click here to read Courier-Journal review) under the direction of Kristi Papailler, the company's founding Associate Producer. Also Dust Track playwright, Laurence Holder, recently received Audelco's "Pioneer Award" in recognition of his life work creating bio-dramas about African-American artists and political leaders. Ms. Littleway also gave a special lecture to KSU acting students, on Friday, Feb. 16th, when she discussed Ms. Hurston's life and read her "Harlem Suite" short story.

The Bold Journeys Tour was sponsored by the Kentucky Foundation for Women(www.kfw.org) while The KSU performance was underwritten by the Frankfort Arts Foundation.
