It was interesting and fun living and working in Denver, Colorado the past two years. But now it’s time to come back home to Louisville and Juneteenth Legacy Theatre, where I am a board member, and explore new ventures.

While in Denver, I studied in the International Studies program at the University of Denver (the same program where Condoleezza Rice received her PHD.) I earned a M.A. in Global Studies with an concentration in Conflict Resolution. I also have a BFA in Theatre and a M.A. in Expressive Therapies.

In addition to studying, I served as Interim Associate Director of the Institute of Women's Studies and Services at Metropolitan State College of Denver where I enjoyed working with a large community of progressive and activist-oriented students.

I am no stranger to the Juneteenth Jamboree. In the past, I’ve worked as the production coordinator as well as acted and directed some of the plays. I very much look forward to working with the board, artists, media, and audiences to plan an entertaining and exciting 6th annual Juneteenth Jamboree, hosted by Actors Theatre, June 3-19. Juneteenth Legacy Theatre has added something valuable to the City of Louisville. The Jamboree has served to educate, heal, and engage the community beyond the normal day to day routine of life, and I want as many people as possible to be a part of it!
